Nowadays, the world is full of data and, sometimes, it's hard to find the data we are looking for. To comprehend all of the information, datavisualizations are used to create order in that chaos.
A majority of these visualizations rely on following the narrative of the topic, when it comes to the visual design. The current trend of showing these visualizations is by giving them a flat surface to be present them on, albeit paper or monitors. What if there is an extra dimension that enhances these narratives and presents them in a new manner that creates an even more comprehensible design?
Dimension+ | Otter habitats is a project that explores this concept and aims to shine a light on new forms of communicating data. Following a narrative of the current habitats of river otters in the Netherlands, this project focusses on added variables such as texture to enhance the data
